    I have to admit, this was not my best year for reading...which has led me to make reading more of a priority in my goals for 2019. I had high aspirations for reading more since I had more free time this year than in the past 5+ years, but while it wasn't my best year for reading, I did manage to average about 1 book a month, so these are the books I read in 2018.     Reading has always been an important part of my life and learning, but while I used to read a ton of fiction, over the past few years I’ve switched to reading nonfiction almost exclusively. Novels hardly hold my attention anymore. I’ve come to really appreciate how biographies give you a picture of the lives of actual people throughout history.
